Have adopted a target that ALL Richmond coaches gain certification.
Recognize more to coaching than a certificate, but certification helps assure basic coaching skills.
For each age, establish minimum desired and recommended certification. BC-wide certification = 7% (!)
Frequent Community Coach and higher certification courses will be held in Richmond.
All certification costs gladly covered by our clubs.
Additional coaching education.
Encourage older youth players to coach and obtain certification.

"Every Player Deserves a Qualified Coach"
The RYSA/RGSA are moving towards all coaches being certified. Several times a year we offer the CCC, CCY and CCS which the RYSA will pay for.
Community coaching courses are also held throughout the lower mainland (link below). Richmond's clubs will gladly cover the cost of any or our coaches taking a community coaching course (no approval required). Please register for the courses and submit your receipt to admin@richmondsoccer.com (for the RYSA) and admin@richmondgirlssoccer.com (for the RGSA) for reimbursement.
Higher level course costs may also be covered, and require the Technical Director's pre-approval. For an outline of the BCSA Community Coaching Certification, and upcoming clinics, please click here
